Every brand begins with a story, and ours starts with a name.
BERMIL comes from my last name, Bermillo. I wanted something simple, something that still carried a part of who I am. Instead of creating a random name with no meaning, I chose to keep it personal- a reflection of identity, purpose, and authenticity. “BERMIL” isn’t just a brand name; it’s a piece of me that I hope can also resonate with others.

From the very beginning, our mission has been clear: to build more than a clothing brand- to build a community. A place where people can connect through meaning, confidence, and creativity. I don’t want people to just wear BERMIL, I want them to feel it. I want them to wear our pieces with confidence, to be part of our journey in continuously building BERMIL, and to grow alongside the movement we’re creating together.

Our first design that says “DONT FEAR” represents exactly that. It’s not just a phrase printed on fabric, it’s the reflection of my present journey in creating BERMIL. There were countless setbacks, doubts, and fears. I questioned whether I should even start, afraid of making mistakes or failing before I even begin. But at some point, I realized, you only live once. Life’s too short to build someone else’s dream when you can start building your own.

So I did. I stopped overthinking and just started. BERMIL was born from that decision, a reminder that progress, no matter how gradual, is still progress. Why stop now, when I already made so much progress. This is a message to anyone reading: take that first step, even when it’s uncertain, even when growth feels slow. Just like BERMIL, we’re still building piece by piece, from the ground up.

Through this journey, I hope to share that message with everyone who becomes part of the BERMIL community. Together, we’re not just wearing a brand. We're wearing a story, a vision, and a reminder to embrace the journey and never fear building your own.
